Calico is a small exhibition space tucked away on the second floor of the historic Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse.

In its 7th year of exhibitions, Calico has kept a focus on local emerging artists by hosting an array of solo exhibitions, collaborative events, themed group exhibits, annual affordable works sales, and more. As of March, 2019, Calico continues to evolve with a featured selection of small works and craft-based art objects. Most of the work on display is priced under $500, with many pieces available in the $50-$200 range. The roster consists of local and national artists that have exhibited at Calico in the past, and the grouping is unique to Calico. Expect to find ceramics, prints, small sculptures, textiles, original paintings, and plenty of the “other” things that many fine artists are producing alongside their primary bodies of work.

Founder and director, Scott Chasse, is an artist and arts organizer with over ten years experience. Previous projects include The Distillery Gallery (director), South Boston Open Studios (chief organizer), Ugly Art Room (co-curator), Paint it Now (co-curator & organizer), and numerous public and private installations, commissions, and curatorial undertakings.
